I ended up pulling a back up library and previous iPhoto version back onto my MBP and it is working again. I just had backed up yesterday so they are recent. Just steer clear of update for now. My two cents

All I know for me, is that tossing the prefs, and dragging over my just backed up library worked. One thing I noticed is that it appears that iPhoto updated both my iPhoto and Aperture libraries. Could be wrong, but when I tried to downgrade Aperture after bringing over an older version and after I had tried to upgrade iPhoto and it updated libraries, the older Aperture app claimed it couldn't open the new version of the library. It took a while to sort.
I ended up replacing both iPhoto/Aperture libraries and using previous iPhoto/Aperture apps getting them running, then tossing prefs before updating. Then it worked. For me.....

Responsive developer— absolutely! Riccardo is terrific. I've told him many times that I am so use to TypeIt4Me that I almost couldn't live without it. I just do so much with it, without even thinking that when I am without, it is like anything else in life, that is when you realize by seeing all these sentences with abbreviations (not expanded) how useful it has become. I can't remember the last time I've typed my signature, phone number and many many other items. It just works!

If you use the SW update panel, the download is reduced based on just the needed printers.

If it properly showed up in the update preference as it is supposed to with Mac, you would only need the components required. Hopefully the manual download will provide only the elements needed. Still, it is something that should show in the update preferences if you asked me.

I did what ERIC WOEHLER suggested below and it works on this update also. Still.... it is poorly done. First a window opens suggesting "it will see if you can update etc." but that doesn't say "no". The other thing that drives me nuts is watching what is installed and seeing all these proofing tools and other items not mentioned in "what is fixed" etc. Supposedly this dealt with Entourage, yet all this other stuff flew onto the hard drive. Why is this?

I was glad to see a nice review on 43Folders by Merlin. This is turning into a really good product and without a lot of fluff. Bartek is quite the programmer. Not only coding fast with the updates, but acurately as the program just works or he fixes it pronto.
Thanks for the program.

This is a wonderful piece of software. I have tried a lot of other "GTD" software and always dumped them as one spent so much time entering information, it was more time consuming than the purpose it was meant for.

While there are still things being added to this, and I myself have suggested some items, it is definitely useable just as is. This does it all!

I never was going to even the Omni "No it's not vaporware, but its not available either" GTD app because it is probably expensive. Too many alternative coming out right and left and for free. iGTD may be the one that draws the hanger ons and waiters from Omni.

The developer is responsive. Syncing works without a hitch with iCal, and for once, you do not have to spend time learning it. Simple to use. Truly Mac interfaced. I mean it just works, and if it doesn't you submit a recommendation.

And of course it is free. Something the developer may wish to change.

Well NonyMouse, I am not really sure how a person goes about responding to your issues. On one hand you say it does what it says, and then turn around and claim it clutters your desktop. Hmmmmm.....

Then go on to say: "I like launcher that can be tucked away and woven into my display without hogging space and making my view hectic and cluttered with a bunch of minimized squares and tabs."

That makes one believe you have not actually tried the program.

The program can launch or activate all items in the docks you have by keyboard shortcuts. Windows can remain on the desktop and as you say "clutter" or you can take a moment to select preferences that hide the docks completely. I could explain things further for you, but why bother.

You obviously attempted to rip this program apart, In your small way, when all you did was show ignorance about the program and its function.

Hope you feel better soon.
