To all LittleSnitch users : be advised that all web connections will be displayed as "GlimmerBlocker", and not as "Safari" or "Mail" or whatever. This basically means that LittleSnitch will no longer be able to block individual applications. So, if you are a LittleSnitch user, stay AWAY from GlimmerBlocker.

@Robertcoogan : You don't see this problem. Are you kidding ? The very nature of GlimmerBlocker is to act as intermediary. When you activate GlimmerBlocker, the flow is: web application → GlimmerBlocker → LittleSnitch. Therefore, LittleSnitch cannot identify the web application; or rather, it always identifies it as GlimmerBlocker. See http://glimmerblocker.org/wiki/LittleSnitch

The developer has removed the program from his website, I think.

I've used this program for a day now, and found it stable and light. The "Getting Started" chapter of its documentation is not well written, but basically, you can hold down the Command key and drag files to the program's icon to batch edit their tags. You can also drag entire folders : again remember to hold down the Command key, unless you want individual editing. The program also includes a command-line utility (see the "Extras" folder of the installation package), though I've not used it myself.

The program claims to export to "popular devices", but exporting to MPEG-2 DVD (which is a very popular device) is UNsupported. The program claims "SSA/ASS subtitles support", but font styles and text positions (specified inside SSA/ASS subtitles) are UNsupported.

Speed Download installs a Firefox extension for catching downloads, but this extension did nothing on my computer, as downloads still went through Firefox's internal manager. I had to install the FlashGot extension instead, and configure it to work with Speed Download. But then, I realized that Speed Download cannot handle Filesonic, Hotfile and other premium services. Speed Download's release notes state that support for those services "has been dropped". I recommend the program jDownloader instead.

@Yazsoft Support : 1) You're right. SD installs a "plug-in", and not an "extension". I chose the bad word. But this doesn't change the fact that your plug-in can't catch downloads. 2) I admit that the SD release notes don't mention Filesonic. But the Flashgot release notes do, and they concern SD : "Disabled again filesonic.com external downloader support (built-in download manager, DTA and JDownloader are still supported)". 3) Premium services are not for "a handful of users" only, despite what you say. The fact that SD can't process premium links--and, in the case of Filesonic, can't download already processed links--seriously ruins my interest, especially at a price of 25$.

I've been waiting to try Beta 8 since November: that's when they were supposed to release it. And I am pretty disappointed, now that I've tried it! 1/ The title bar is taking unnecessary space. Why have they not merged it with the tab bar? 2/ None of the extensions are compatible with Beta 8. In fact, Mozilla's website still says Beta 7. 3/ The interface looks just ugly.

@Umaromc : Google Chrome for Mac OS X merges both bars successfully. If the tabs are pointing upwards, I really see no need for a separate title bar.
