30 May and newly posted "version 6.7.7" still provides Release 11.3.0, containing "version 6.7.5".

The link provided on MU for "version 6.7.7" actually provides Release Version 11.3.0, which contains "Version 6.7.5" which, like every second release recently, gives a Library Exception error (at least on Lion). I'm stuck on 6.7.3, which works.

The MacPorts updating system is much more reliable, but requires about 4Gig of complex interlinked dependencies to allow the 4Mb of executables to function. My poor little SSD drive can't spare that space.

Multi-page scanning is basically broken on version 2 under Lion. You can use Apple's own Image Capture driver for multi-page, but it doesn't support image compression so you finish up with massive scan files. Otherwise there's no option but to scan one page at a time. Very boring.

This used to work fine in version 1, and it's real annoying that my comments about this on their user forum are consistently ignored. It's a bit odd to use, but stable enough. Just useless for me.

This is simply the finest note-pad available for Mac. Just brilliant.

I was a big fan of Smultron until the Dev announced he wouldn't be developing it any more. So what gives? Now that it's not free, and $5 on Mac AppStore, does that mean that he is supporting it again?

Would love to hear directly from the Dev what his intentions are.

agree completely that $5 is nothing for good software. But software without ongoing support is useless.

Although still in Beta, this single-purpose program is brilliant, slick and pretty. Works seamlessly with iCal, providing two perfectly inspired innovations: (1) "common english" interpretation to rapidly create new calendar events, (2) "perceptual view" (logarithmic time-line) to let the most pressing events accurately occupy your field of vision.

I suggested an operating improvement and the Dev implemented it and posted an update within 24 hours. Love this app and its philosophy. Sign me up.

5 Dec - what gives? This version (build 360 - v3.5.2) has been around since July.

The best De-Compressor around. Fast, stable, well supported.

Intro states "1 page or less". I had a PDF of less than one page once. Turns out, it contained none.

Version 1.2 was unable to find my (Brother) scanner. I submitted a complaint through the Mariner Support system, which was answered (intelligently) in a matter of hours. They sent two follow-up emails and then posted a revised version (1.2.1) which fixed the problem. This is stellar Customer Support!

"bz2" is a B-Zip compressed file. But the download is NOT a compressed file ... just remove the ".bz2" so it ends in ".dmg" and it should mount just fine.

Fantastic app. Streamlined, effective and FREE. Only complaint is that it doesn't seem to handle encrypted archives well, and I've had to resort to Stuffit Expander for most encrypted decodes.
