Dasboot will create a bootable USB version of the Snow Leopard installer disk, FWIW, but that's all.

I could not - after more than 12 attempts - get this software to create a bootable DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro USB drive.

When I looked at the USB drive contents everything appeared to me as a bootable drive would but it just did not show up as a bootable drive when holding the Option key on my iMac running 10.0.6.

Holding the Option key to restart, the USB drive shows up only as a storage device. When I click to select the device the mouse locks up and the Mac restarts.

There's supposed to be a Subrosasoft launcher that comes up first if this concept worked but it never does. I even ran DiskWarrior v4.0 on the finished USB drive and it found directory errors which I fixed but still did no good.

The USB drive must be formatted correctly, fwiw, to have a GUID partition table which is needed to boot from the device.

I'd like to hear what I've not done correctly! I'd give the software 5 stars if it worked on DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro but since it only makes a bootable Mac OS X drive for now I'll give it a 3-star rating. Dasboot is free, however so that helps.
