Perfect. Just what I was looking for. I don't want anything complicated or clumsy. This is what a Mac app should look like. (Celtx and Screenwriter - take note). Finally! Well done! And $20!!?? Hell yes.

It's free. I get that, and I guess you should be grateful for anything that's free. For what it does, it does do well. You can link things to your script etc and a built-in scheduler is going to be a great feature for someone who needs one, but for me: I'm a Mac man. I like Mac software because it looks good to the eye, and when it looks good to the eye it makes me feel good. This is not Mac software. It looks like something out of a "my first program" book. It's dated to say the least. If they gave it a good polish then it would be great but until then it's not a Mac program I'm willing to use anyway.

This was disappointing. For v2 software I expected more. Orphan characters at the foot of pages, no (CONTD) for repeated characters, no (MORE) for spanned dialog (until you print, then you see it - doesn't really help me when reading on screen), I have no idea what the point of the "fade window" feature is for. Why would you want a transparent window when writing so whatever is behind shows through? Crazy. But: The worst thing by far is that I COULD NOT work out how to turn of the colors when printed. My test script came out all looking like a rainbow! I don't mind it on screen but PRINTED? Why on earth would I want that?

I did however like the *idea* of things like the Contacts section etc. but I don't want it in this program. If I want a telephone followup contact thing I'll get one, I don't need it in here. If they spent more time getting the editing bit right and less time stuffing "features" in that I'll never use it'd be a lot better IMO.

My mistake re: v2 as it's v1.5.4. Everything else still stands.

Wow, this is good. It's very good. Well made, you can tell that a lot of time and effort went into it. But: Well its just so darned complicated. Maybe Im not technically minded enough or have not spent enough time playing around with it but it does not work the way I would expect it to. Im a firm believer that if you don't *get it* right away then it's not for me. I just didn't *get it*.
