No more custom idle?!?! ahhhh!

Otherwise this is a great update. The re-org of the preferences was much needed and looks great now.

Webmin IS ugly. But it is also fairly configurable. So you can make it look better if you take the time. Unfortunately there aren't any good themes ready for download so you need to do it yourself. I will admit that i haven't spent the time to make it look better for my users until recently. But I am finding that given soem time and effort you can make it better.

I was addicted to dreamweaver for awhile. Didn't like it but couldn't find a decent alternative. Creatext findly let me break the bonds of macromedia. There are still some things I miss from dreamweaver (like being able to merge cells in a table and have the software update the code for me), but for the most part I find the solutions in Creatext are far more simple and elegant than anything in dreamed up by macromedia. I think this application has let me become a better more efficient web designer. The application lacks some of the polish of a commercial application, but it makes up for it in pure efficiency.

Nifty iTunes visualizer. Only problem I have with it is that it doesn't load cover art from iTunes and its auto lookup isn't very good. I've added cover art to most of my songs, but most still show up without covert art in this visualizer. When it does correctly find cover art it is quite stunning. I'd love to see it use art from so that we could have front, back, side, inside, and CD artwork all available.

I tried this application a long time ago when i saw an article about it somewhere (I think it was at IGM), didn't like it much then... boy has it come a long way. I saw someone using it at and thought I would give it a try (the trial seems pretty generous, plenty of time to really give it a fair shot). I am really starting to like it.

The negative comments below are not fair. These people are simply upset that the newest version is panther only. because of the nature of this application that was the only way the developer could continue to integrate new features supported by the new OS. The author still offers the 10.1 and 10.2 compatible versions on his website.

I do have some requests though:
1) Dock pref pane with several features:
a) remove finder icon from dock (transparent dock has found a way to do this)
b) choosing empty trash from trash can in dock while finder is quit should empty trash (this might involve removing the finder's trash can and adding your own)
c) folders in dock should open in path finder not finder (or include an option to add special path finder folders to the dock)
d) Path finder contextual menu from dock should be editable.
2) Allow user configurable icon spacing (loose versus tight) for icon view in path finder windows. (right now it is very loose)
3) Tabbed path finder windows (if you could do it like adium 2 it would be very cool). Right now you have path icons that function similar to tabs, but it would be nice to actually open new windows in new tabs.
4) option to remove drop stack from shelf.
5) option to have aqua style borderless (like real aqua windows). I understand this may not be feasible considering you want to offer both aqua and metal views, but i thought i would ask anyway.
6) option for 'simple menubar' that hides a lot of the options taht are usually set once and then forgotten and the advanced features.
7) bug when viewing as icons in shelf, the vertical scroll bar appears even when not needed when shelf is shrunk to include less than 3 horizontal boxes even when there is nothing in these boxes and there is nothing vertically to scroll down for.

Again great app that has come a very long way since last I checked it out. The first real finder replacement contender. All the other attempts are feable by comparison. Give it 20 days and see if you want to go back to Apple's Finder.
