This is a fairly good application. One problem I have is when Apple changes operating system levels, MacUpdate reports that the current version of application X is down leveled. MacUpdate needs to be a little smarter and have a way to ignore applications if the corresponding level of OS is not installed. . A good, or bad examples are iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. I clone my system in order to install the newer 10.9, MacUpdate on the new system is fine. But, when/if I return 10 10.8, MacUpdate reports the same mismatch. I understand what it is telling me. But, It would be better if it was a little smarter.

Non-Apple product example - Mavericks Cache Cleaner.. As of 10.9 the application is named Mavericks Cache Cleaner. It would be great if the developer came up with a name and stayed with it. But no! It is renamed every time Apple changes the name of the operating system. MacUpdate has a problem with this, After installing Mavericks Cache Cleaner MacUpdate still states that I am not on the current level of Mountain Lion Cache Cleaner. And yes I know that I can set version to current or Do not check for updates.

I purchased Lyrica from the App Store. The application worked for a small percent of my iTunes tracks. I updated the developers web site blog asking for assistance. Never herd back. Later the application was removed from the App Store. One more reason I do not like to purchase applications from the store, as I have been unable to get a refund. BUYER BE WARE of the App Store.
