I really like the way this browser handles tabs. IMHO it's a much better solution than having a bunch of tabs getting scrunched up below the toolbar. I've been using Demeter for several hours and it hasn't crashed yet. I'm on Mac OS 10.4.11. Once I've filled in a password it's remembered. I look forward to the 2.0 release of Demeter. Hopefully it retains some of the good things about this version.

I have yet to succesfully download a single mp3 file with mlMac. Those super fast downloads I mentioned all turned out to be bogus files. More bogus files today.

And the website FAQ mentions that eDonkey downloads take a long time to start. The ones I've tried have never started, and I waited over 5 minutes on a few occasions.

I know everyone is raving about this app, but thus far it is not working for me. Acquisition is currently downloading a real file, while all I've managed to get with mlMac is garbage (so far).

Am I missing something here? I swear to god I am not a total idiot. I'll try it some more before rating. Any suggestions?

Indeed! I just started blogging yesterday, and this is the only app i've had success with.
If you have no idea how to blog, try this:
First, go to the Blogger website and setup a blog on your ftp server, etc...
Once you have successfully set up a blog using Blogger, you can refer to those ftp settings to help you set up your own blog using I Blog.

The help for this app could use a simplified 1-2-3 tutorial page to explain exactly how to begin. The explanation of each section is very good, but more of an actual 'how to' guide would help.
For example, the process of deleting blog entries on your local folder is not clear to me.

I'm still using Fetch to set up the folder on my ftp server and then posting to it with I Blog.
I think the app is supposed to put the folder there for you, but so far I have not gotten it to do that.

The fact that it creates the entire page from templates makes it really easy to post nice looking blog sites.

Highly recommended!

I like it (Phoenix)! It is very fast, (maybe faster than Safari?). Plus Phoenix has tabbed browsing, which Safari doesn't! The download manager looks ported from Netscape 7, with the same partially missing window problem. It works fine though if you mouse carefully. When I saved my first bookmark to the bookmarks bar, I realized that the bookmark bar wasn't there. Upon logging out and logging back in, the bookmarks bar was there and so was the bookmark, cool! The only bummer for me is that Phoenix doesn't respond properly to my optical trackballs' 'back' button. The 'enter' button works though. It probably just doesn't support 5-button mice. I'll try it with a 3-button optical mouse, should be fine. I am tempted to make this my default browser
instead of Chimera, we'll see. The Phoenix interface is clean and uncluttered like Safari, but the tabbed browsing definitely makes it better for me. Hasn't crashed yet either. Check it out!
