I believe this is an excellent piece of software. Although limited in many aspects, fLOW allows the user to create awesome ambient pieces in minutes. As one may hear quite often, the source material makes the difference in how you will like this software. The $20 is not that hefty for all the interesting sound that this software has produced. Now for the wish list. For the random values that control the effects, pitch and volume of the software, I do wish there were more choices of random. Like a stepped "sample and hold" version, and for pitches, an "algorithmic pitch selector" that could be chosen by scale or something...that's pretty cool, though for $20, maybe too much. Mostly, I do not want to hear sine wave sweeps on the pitch of my material. It doesn't lend to the mechanical feel that I am looking for. I am not so concerned about the effects being swept in that manner, but...again, the option would be nice. Also, more sample streams would be killer. VST support? that would be awesome, and/or more effects. Thank You, Karlheinz Essl, for awesome software.

fLow is an interesting little app, not high powered, but I can see using it in some circumstances like at a haunted house or orther real Ambient use. Being able to use MP3's as the samples and then putting it on auto(randomish) makes for some interesting combinations.

Cool. But has a pop up saying the program is unregistered and will quit in 5 minutes for the whole time the program is running. Funny thing, is that it only took me 5 minutes to play with the program, say "Ahh, that's kinda cool. But not worth $20 by any stretch." and then the program quits on itself. i dunno what the developer is thinking, but this certainly isn't filling any hole in my music editing and recording studio.

well...you get about 5 minutes with the thing and for me thats too short to spend 2o bucks on. id like to see what it does with mp3's but i cant because as soon as it loads it quits... oh well. if it was 10 bucks id buy it just to play with it longer...
