] QuickASCII is a console-based movie player and picture viewer powered by Quicktime that attempts to reproduce movie images using patterns of ASCII characters, converted on the fly. Source code is included.
- Make the window really, really big and set the scale to something like 2.25
- Run with the -h (help) flag to learn how to set the scale and use other options.
- You get a better framerate if you use GLterm instead of Terminal.app. It uses OpenGL, and is really fast (still think OpenGL-based terminals are silly?)
- If your terminal is white-on-black, use the -i flag to invert the luminence of the movie.
