The program does NOT work with Tiger. Bummer because Tiger's iCal does not permit Alarms in the new "Show Birthdays calendar" option. Hope they update this app.

It's a shame that somebody needs to add such a necessary and simple feature to iCal. Well done for doing Apple's job for them.

Same problem as documented below. The app seemed to be doing something, created the calendar, yet the events were not present.

I ran BirthdayCal 2.0 against iCal 1.5.1 yesterday and found that while it did create the Birthdays calendar none of the birthdays were put into it.

I downloaded iCal 1.5.1 as well and found that I have the same problem. BirthdayCal acts like it's working but actually nothing happens. This is a great utility I hope to an update soon to fix this problem.

I can confirm that iCal 1.5.1 breaks BirthdayCal 2.0. I upgraded iCal sometime this week, and just tried BirthdayCal today, and while it thinks its working, nothing really happens. Hope this can get fixed, BirthdayCal is the best of its type of program out there.

It used to work wonderfully but it seems to no longer work at all. Might iCal 1.5.1 be at fault? Can anyone else confirm or deny?

and for all those all-day events that aren't birthdays: So you're a Mac user who decided to buy a t68i because you thought it would allow you to synch all the events in iCal into your phone eh? Well if you're reading this thread then you've probably already figured out that you can't because the t68i doesn't have all-day events! You might have seen Sony Ericsson press and promotions such as the following quotes from their website that led you to believe otherwise but now your just stuck with a phone that is of no use in making appointments because you can never be completely sure what you've got on each day. Don't wait another minute. Send your request for an update now to mailto:katsumi.ihara@sonyericsson.com This is what you can expect: * "Apple's hot new synchronizing software keeps your iCal information and Mac OS X Address Book up-to-date on your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone" * "This product [iSync] is compatible with the following Sony Ericsson phones: ... T68i" * "the same up to date address book and calendars everywhere - on their Mac and in their pocket" * "customers using the new Sony Ericsson T68i phone are ... keeping their ... calendar up-to-date between their Mac and their phone" * "You can have your ... calendar with you wherever you go, and you'll know the information is accurate" These quotes are from the following two URLs. http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?page=gis&Redir=page%3DC2_1_50%26B%3Die http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?page=gis&Redir=page%3Dc_bluetooth%26B%3Die That e-mail address again was mailto:katsumi.ihara@sonyericsson.com Refer your request for a solution this this address now!

Great idea, and it seemed to work well. But iCal slowed to a glacial crawl after I ran it. I deleted the birthday calendar, and iCal was good as new again.
