A nice little app to keep in your hard drive especially if you have to deal with foreign languages over the net, even more especially, if you have to deal with CJK characters.
Getting the hexadecimal by just typing the character in is about seven times as easy compared to finding the number of strokes contained in the radical, searching for the radical, counting the number of strokes in whole, and searching for the character you are looking for in the endless list of similar-shaped characters; which is basically what you have to do with a character palette.
It would be even better if you could:
* convert multiple characters
* optionally add an HTML-entity-ampersand-numbermark-x-hexadecimal-semicolon thingy, if you know what I mean. (This would work beautifully if realized with multiple-character conversion.)
* enable conversion with a single hit of a return key. When the insertion point is at the character box, make "Unicode -->" button the default button, and vice versa
