[ via MacMinute ] Abstracter is a contextual menu plug-in that summarizes text to the clipboard or a text file.

While OS X (10.2) has a built in summary service (see the Services menu under the Apple menu), it only works with COCOA based applications such as TextEdit or Apple Mail. Abstracter is designed to provide a similar summary service for Microsoft's Internet Explorer under OS X (10.2. or greater) or other Carbon applications that support the contextual menu architecture (i.e. Eudora, BBEdit).
