Apparently the newer version 2.0 is not as compatible, and has some CD-ROm issues, that's prob why MacUpdate have kept the latest version at 1.2a2.

I haven't actually used this piece of software, but after a quick Google search found a page that lists all of the Mac PS emulators and includes links to the main files and any plugins available, including the latest version of Flarestorm.

When I go to the site http://www.cronos.ne.jp/~y2510/software/flarestorm2-en.ahtml, it says that it can't be found on the server. Does anyone know of an alternate link to the new version?

Flarestorm HAS been updated!! It's currently at version 2.0!!! I guess they must have just forgotten about this place. Anyway, the developer site is outdated, instead visit here:

After you click on what you want, the download link is in the middle of the page. I'm on my way to test it out! Huzzah!

I finally found all four discs to FF9, and the A/V plug for the playstation. It only took 4 months to find... it's a damn shame I don't have a memory card. It's also a shame that this app seems to be forgotten.

Flarestorm has potential but is way limited. I have six burnt disks and none work
at this point you would be better off jus buying PS-2 and getting original games in a pawn shop. Plus it has no compatibility with Emulator Enhancer and three of the five plug-ins wont work on G5 models says there corrupted or something Panther is ok attempting to load however Jaguar seems to be where I'm getting the most luck. I am optimistic about future releases but until then this is one emulator that wont be in my dock.

This program needs to go opensource, with only like 2 Japanese people working on it, its really slow.

I really want this thing to work but I think there is no compatibility with G5s. I have a 1.6ghz G5 and want to know if there are any updates that make it compatible?

gee, i dunno... did it ever occur to you to go to the developer's site and find his email address, send the developer an email asking about your issue?

use a little common sense, maybe?

Does this emulator run copies of PSX games? My friend gave me a copy of his FFT to try but the emu says it's 'not for psx'.

Suggestions?
