Zingg! is a simple contextual menu for the Finder. It shows you a list of all applications that claim to open a particular file. A similar capability is now built into Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). However, Zingg! lets you configure certain applications to appear always or never in the pop-up, you can also set it to not show Classic applications when the Classic environment isn't running.
- Version 1.4.1 fixes a crashing bug which happened under unusual circumstances - unusual in my testing, that is.
- There's a new setting to toggle the menu between names and paths with the "option" key. Pressing "Caps Lock" before pulling down the menu still works as before.
- Application names can now start with '-' or any other menu metacharacter without messing
