To use unreadable volumes, click initialize. To continue with disk inserted, click ignore." no matter what i do - i am unable to use the external HD. please give me some advise - a number to call - anything - thanks...

I have Mac OSX 10.2.8 and after downloading this file was unable to open it. I received the following messeage:

This installer package is only compatible with Mac OS X 10.1 systems. A separate installer package is available for installing this driver on Mac OS X 10.2 systems.

I then phoned for technical assistance at 877-397-8200 and was told that it's incompatible with 2.8 and Panther.

SOLUTION !!!
If you want to use your Que ! Drive with OS X.3, you have only to change the case. Buy an external case 5 1/4", and plug your Que ! Drive on it.
(If your new external case is usb 2.0, there is no problem.)

Works Great with My VST 6 GB Hard disk. Smart disk who VST has become does not have a link to this on their web site, but should. They do link to the 10.1 version of the Cypress Driver, but not the 10.2 version. If you are looking for a way to use your 6 GB VST USB hard drive under 10.2, this will make it work. It is also Free.

see the message dated 11/6/02..sorry I coppied but it is exactly as writte. (I have an iMac DV 500. I got Que USB CD-RW to mount CD with this driver under OS 10.2 sometimes, but not always. When a blank CD-RW was loaded, it did not mount at all. Also Apple System Profiler would just keep "Gathering..." message on "Devices and Volumes" tab without returning anything

VST Tech/Smartdisk does not offer a MacOS 10.2 (Jaguar) driver for the external USB 6GB Blueberry/Tangerine/Black Hard Drive that I could locate on their site (maybe I'm blind or dumb - heh). This Mass Storage update worked like a charm. My Blueberry drive mounted on my old iBook after a quick install and restart, no problem. :)

The descripton on MacUpdate says system requirements to be 10.2 or later....the installer says only compatible with 10.1 and separate installer is available for 10.2...this is my first visit here for answers and all I got was more questions. Thanks MacUpdate for keeping your info 'Updated' - The 1.4J updater which I finally found crashes iTunes and who knows what else.
