ClearDock

1.4.1
04 August 2006

Unique visual modification for your Dock.

Overview

ClearDock removes the semi-transparent white background from the Dock under Mac OS X Panther and Tiger so the Dock icons are "floating" on top of your desktop picture. Additionally, it can change the colors of application triangles and of the Dock background to completely customize your desktop.

Features:

  • Removes white Dock background under all Dock icons.
  • Changes white Dock background color.
  • Changes the applications triangles color.
  • Implemented as an Application Enhancer module.

What's new in ClearDock

Version 1.4.1:
  • Updated to include Application Enhancer 2.0.1.
  • Updated to include Smart Crash Reports 1.2 (optional installation).

Nice, easy to use, but it still leaves a thin black line around the dock.

But who would care if anything that uses APE is ready or not? FAR too many issues using haxies.

A nifty little app that does exactly what it says it will, and does it well! Heartily recommended, whether you have a PPC or Intel Mac.

How do you change the arrow color, dock background, etc... I have OSX 10.4, and like previously stated, can't open the .ape file.

I have come across a bug that doesn't seem to be a huge deal but is annoying. For some reason if you have Max installed, after installation when you tell ClearDock to start Max launchs instead of APE? smith925

There is no need to install Ape if 1 wants a clear dock, just follow the instructions here: http://www.resexcellence.com/hack_html_01/09-01-01.shtml

Slava your correct, my appologies for not noticing it was an old mod. Btw I use TransparentDock. Ape was showing up in various crash logs as a possible culprit so I uninstalled it & havn't had any previously crashing Apps resurface.
