This is one of the apps I use nearly every day (since the year 2005!). The developer is very friendly. Sometimes I asked for a new feature and the requested feature „magically“ appeared in the next update. Taco HTML Edit is very stable. I use it mostly in conjunction with Transmit (an FTP Client) and for local editing of html, css and php files.

Taco is a very good text editor.
It's efficient and the components library is nice and useful. Plus some productivity features for those who are no html professionals.

Very good at what it does.

Great app. I've been using it for years and it keeps getting better and better, while still as easy and fast as ever. I was pleased to find the image zoom component in the library, it made it easy to add this feature to my site. 5 stars.

This was my first web editor and I must say Taco is fantastic to test php pages with live preview. Is my every day "debugger", used with SkEdit that has other nice features for every day use.
Good job!

Taco's a good little program. I used v1.x (free) for basic code management. However, $24.95 for this program is a little steep. I've switched to Smultron, which has basically the same functionality and is free/donationware.

If you're looking for a capable editor, give Smultron a try.

I've use Taco for a lot, making 15$ of dontation. The software was not implemented so I switch to SkEdit (great editor).
Programmers work must be supporte. Shareware is good, donationware too, but I'm very sad to know Taco is shareware without any information or upgrade policy.

Have a nice day. Riccardo.
