Freestyle 3D skiing game.

Overview

Freestyle-Freeride 3D allows you to ski your favorite slopes doing crazy freestyle tricks! You can choose your rider, choose your slopes. Just do the best score doing tricks, collecting bonus stars... Collect the bombs and use them to change the landscape and create new jumps. Grind the rails if you're really a good freestyler! Don't forget you can ask s.o. to rescue you when you're blocked in a danger zone... You can now listen to your favorite mp3s when you ride. Check the site to see if there's some new slopes, new riders or new tricks to download (there will be in some few weeks)!

What's new in Fakie Flair Challenge

Version 1.2 adds the following:
  • All game keys have changed, as well as some of their behaviours. So be sure to have a look at the help page or at the pdf manual
  • Now you can choose your OpenGL preferences. FFC can be played on a more important number of different graphic cards
  • Lincoln Loop flips are now possible in the two sides
  • Spacebar now makes your rider crouch (when pressed) and jump (when released). The time you press space gives the jump amplitude
  • You don't have to press simultaneously space and tricks keys to do tricks anymore. Tricks keys are enough
  • There's no spin cursor anymore. You don't have to press any key to stop spins/flips. You just have to release spin/flip keys
  • Landing validation has been refactored in order to be more correct
  • The way to switch to fakie has changed, it's now quicker, simpler and more stylie ;p
  • Rider animation during turns has evolved to be more realistic
  • After all those changes, I've decided to offer FFC a new look with some new colors, a new logo and some new riders
  • Some other things have also changed but they're not important enough to speak about them here...

Okay, so my first download. I love skiing so was looking for something like this. It runs great and the graphics are avarage, but good enough. You know, not detailed, but good. Once you get the hang of it it's a bit boring, you hit the little red things and throw the bombs then get to the end. But its a way to pass the time i guess....

One of the best freeware games I have ever played! The combination of 3d graphics, awsome music, and exciting levels is way more than you expect in a freeware ski game. With its combination of realistic skiing and many combinations of jumps, rails, and "turbos" make each run unique. To add to this you can creat your own runs and tricks making the posibilities endless! The only downside is the key position, using the letters instead of the arrows or keypad. Overall though a great game!

Don't forget I'm alone to develop FFC in my spare time; I surely can't create a "commercial quality" game... 'just hope you can still have fun even with some bugs ;)

This game does what it wants to do: it's a little free game you can have fun with at the end of a working day! And I have fun!. Som say it's not enugh customizable, but as this is a little game, we can excuse this. Graphics are cute, even if they don't use last generatgion effects.

Well, to be honest I was surprised by the bad quality (overdriven gamma settings?) and bad customiazability of this game. The physics feel like you drive a bobbiecar on a wild water slide and the player models look like overdriven by a tank. Sorry guys, but this is the worst graphics I've ever seen. I guess I will stick with Quake 1 and Bugdom. :)

On the one hand, Fakie Flair is freeware, but on the other hand, Slope Rider is superior in terms of gameplay. It's VERY hard to land tricks correctly in Fakie Flair, and for a freeware game, there are very few tracks and boarders. I'm confident, though, that more options will be released in the future, so I'll stop typing now.
