I was interviewed by the Clario Team to provide information about MacUpdate Desktop, MU Menu, and the website in September 2019. At that time, they made no mention of any potential problems with upgrade compatibility issues with future Mac OS X upgrades. But, buy, they should have. They had no problem getting me to renew my subscription in November 2020 because I still had my old MacBook Pro (mid-2012, Retina display) running Catalina.
But at the beginning of July, I purchased my new MacBook Pro (late-2020, M1) … and neither MacUpdate Desktop nor MU Menu work with Big Sur. Any comment from Clario team … no. Any updated version of the application … no. Any refund, proposed or made … no. Any way that I might think of renewing any business with Clario … no.
