the program is good in the concept and not bad in the execution, but there seems to be no technical support and it crashes tons in version 6.05. more stable in the older versions. plus no info on the pc versions release date. in general, not a good experience.

"...some features will become available after registration." Such as generating a slide show or even adding files via the buttons. If this program functioned the way it was intended, it would be a great value. I give this a 2 star for effort, but I refuse to invest money in a product that locks up during the demo. I downloaded a copy of the demo from the developer's site to test it on a 2010 MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8, and I regret that it failed miserably. The interface is simple and easy to understand - a definite plus - but any time a drop down window opens (eg adding a file/folder via the buttons or generating a demo slide show) the program freezes; I suspect it just can't deal with parsing a directory structure, but I can't fathom why not. I guess I should have been concerned when there were no examples of actual slide shows on the developer's website. Glad it was just a waste of my time and not my money.

Most recent upgrade to version 9.7 changed from using a license code to a license file. Previous licenses do not work even though it was a minor release. Also, developer provides no direct contact method and doesn't respond to tickets entered into their ticketing system. Therefore, there is no way to remedy this issue without buying another license. Wouldn't recommend this due to developers non-responsiveness.

Ditto comments made by Ryanpetris. Bought the program in Dec 2010 at version 9.6. Noticed the other day, via the program's check update function, that an updated version was available but that it had to be downloaded directly from the developer's site, not via the program. Did this, however ... no way to use the updated program since it requires a license file, not a code. No way to contact the developer except via a ticket system. Two tickets submitted, no reply ... not even an acknowledgement email from the ticket system. Overall, the program has limited use for me, but .... not being able to apply a minor update further lessens its usefulness.

Update to my comments. There may be a problem with the ticket system used by Apimac. I received a reply to my second ticket submission. Their response to my first ticket was never received by my mail server (spam filtering was not the problem). The second reply gave me the directions to download and register version 9.7.2 with no upgrade cost. The developers came through for me. Newer version now registered and working.

Good: Application is flexible, yet with clear, simple interface. Bad: Unfortunately the demo is unstable with OS 10.4.8 on my MacBook Pro. Worse, B&W JPEG images are "solarized" when viewed as a slide-show. The greyscale is not continuous, but stepped. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Tried the preview. Crashed six times. Gave up and deleted. Crashes notwithstanding. It is very simple and easy to use. It just refuses to run on 10.3.9. I'm just looking for a simple slideshow program that actually works and isn't $80+ Anyone? I'd be grateful for any pointers.

GraphicConverter does slideshows and much more... may be more or may be less than you want, but it is very reasonably priced and is rock-solid.

The application works fine for me, hasn't crashed here. It is quite simple to use, just a couple of clicks and you are in business.
