Evolutionary War is just like the classic game of chess... except for the fact that your pawns can asexually reproduce, thus generating slightly genetically altered copies of themselves. Each of two human players controls a population of organisms, each of which has its own unique genetic makeup which determines its strength, intelligence, fertility, and speed. These organisms can mate, clone, shift, and attack, and the results of all these actions will depend highly upon the genetic structure of each organism. Whichever population evolves most quickly can achieve victory by eliminating all members of the enemy population. (Two players required)

I used to play this game back when it was for OS 9, and I'm glad to see an OS X version. It's not a flashy game, but it's an interesting idea, and you can spend a few hours playing around with it.
