Helps improve your typing skills.

Overview

Letter Invaders, based on the now ancient arcade game Space Invaders, is designed to help improve typing skills (and therefore increase your chances of getting some sort of RSI). The idea is to blast aliens out of the sky as they attempt to land on and "kill" you. Since this is a game to improve typing skills, the aliens are words selected randomly from the dictionary. You blast the aliens out of the sky by typing them correctly.

good workout. Only problem, two words will overlap, obscuring the words. Good app.

Nice! Well done! And free! I can't complain about anything :) And if I need to learn the meaning of, or how to pronounce all those words coming down the screen... I'll just look it up in the dictionary.

great application. here is a great idea for the next update. everytime you get a word right - the computer reads out the meaning. that way you practice typing AND improve your language.

Great game. My typing skills have increased from 40 WPM to 60! Best score: 23,101 Level 36. So much fun with iTunes playing your favourites in the background.

This is not for beginner. It does not teach where to put your fingers etc. Having said that, this program is good for practice if you already have the basic skills. It`s fun and free. Many thanks.

I liked it! It is horribly fun to play! The only real problem i had was that letter overlap and it difficult to see what i must type. Maybe you can have the letters glow red as we type? Or some other color that overpowerrs the yellow. it took me a little bit to realize that it counts lowercase words as wrong, but i guess that was my mistake.

Groovy little app... It doesn't do much for teaching a newbie where to put their fingers, but it's kinda fun if you already have the basics down. This app can be a real mindbender, tho. The game makes you type a lot of weird medical terms, which make typing more difficult. & oh yeah -- that overlapping word thing is a real drag, man.

Anonymous - that means your hard drive is full, has nothing to do with this application. Decent app, you cannot delete so you have to start over on words. Also, as previously stated the worlds will overlap and you can't read either. For some reason, I get a 0 in WPM, and it never changes, so I don't know what my words per minute are. App is fun, what I would like is that when i start to type a word, the letters change with what I type. Example, if testies came down, and I typed in test so far, then those letters on the word would be a different color, and as I hit the rest of the letters they would change colors one at a time.
