Kung-Tunes (was iTunesTrackInfo) retrieves the currently playing audio track in iTunes and uploads it to a webserver. Any scripts on that webserver can then access the uploaded file to dynamically display iTunes tracks on a webpage. Either manually or at timed intervals, iTunesTrackInfo retrieves the currently playing iTunes track, saves it to file, and uploads the file to a specified webserver. To finally display iTunes track details on your website, you need to create a php or perl script. Details are shown in the accompanying readme file.

Running 10.4.8, latest iLife 6; Kung-Tunes still provides reliable functionality, FTP, and flexible output that usefully integrates well with PHP scripts and Wordpress plugins.

Would prefer it as a background (invisible) process, pref-pane, or menu extra rather than a full application if it was ever updated.

This was a great app, but it breaks with Mac OS X 10.4.

This is great, but it really slows down my computer and takes ages to 'format track list' (at least 30 secs for 3 tracks), during which it totally hogs the CPU. Otherwise, very good program.

Fun to use, but if you open kung-tunes, it'll opens itunes for you, and if you close kung-tunes it'll closes itunes for you, that's a crap behaviour...
GoodBye Mister kung-tunes, you're dumb.

Great tool but some features are a bit flaky.
The "Produce info file at every track change" doesn't reliably.

Drool ... it's times like these when you regret having a Windows PC ...

Any chance of making this Win compatible?

Great little app; now I can show my stellar musical tastes to my friends. :) Actually, I'm writing this because of an idea - how about also allowing an html of the cover art that's associated with the song in iTunes?

Errr. In a recent reformat and restore of my old applications I put version 2.1.4 on my system... which 10.2.5 didn't like... 2.2.4 is fine. :) (I had gone into the about box in Kung-tunes to find the author's e-mail address...) Also, damn MacUpdate for not having a delete function. :)

Kung-tunes is awesome... I've never had any problems with stability using it to just upload to my local webserver (/Library/WebServer/Documents) until iTunes 4 came out... now Kung-tunes crashes if left open for more than a few minutes. :) Bummer. :)

This one has been very stable for me. I can run it for 8 hours straight without any crash. I think crashes could be caused because the user-defined track format string may not be wellformed. The ReadMe states that this soft does not check if the syntax is proper.
