Apimac Notepad free download for Mac

Apimac Notepad9.9.3

17 August 2012

Store text by categories.

Overview

Apimac Notepad helps you organize any piece of text you may want to be at hand.

Mac Notepad is designed from the ground up to support the latest Apple technologies and provides everything you need to be more productive in your work with your Mac.

Mac Notepad lets you save and organize any piece of text you may want to be at hand: you can paste it in, drag it from other applications, drop it as a text file from the Finder or, of course, write it yourself.

A title and a category can be assigned to each note; notes can be easily retrieved by category via a popup menu, or by content simply typing the text to be found in a search field.

A handy recents menu will furthermore keep track of the last edited notes.

Notes can be edited at will: different fonts, styles and colors are all available for text inside a note and, if you need it on paper, you can print it too.

Mac notepad sports the brand new Iconize feature, just a click and your note pad becomes a handy and small window that stays on top of all the other windows so you can find it easily and get again it with a click.

The Password check button lets you protect your personal notes with a password. If this option is selected, at the opening of Mac Notepad a password dialog box will be displayed. To gain access to the notes it will be necessary to enter the correct password.

$40 for this? There are plenty of other alternatives with the same functions that cost far less. I'm very happy with iNotepad, which cost under $15 I recall. This is way overpriced, even if it includes a few extras.

I have attempted several times to update with this version (as well as the two previous ones) using the internal updater within the app. However, each time, the update donwloads, but the install fails. with an error message about the update. I think the developer should take care of fixing that and making a reliable internal updater.

$40 seems pretty steep now compared to Evernote.

I've been using this app's check for updates function and it always said there were no updates. I just recently went to the developer's site and found that the version I had, 9.6, was way out of date and the current version was 9.7.1. This is not good in an app that is otherwise fine. I hope they fix this but in the mean time I suggest all users should check the developers site and not rely on the check for updates menu item as it doesn't work properly.

Doesn't offer any new features/ideas compared to other similar apps. And can the programmer tell me what he is means with: "Mac Notepad is designed from the ground up to support the latest Apple technologies" That one big joke imo

Version 9.5 is not available for download. I get version 9.3 from the download link Also, in Notepad for Mac, check for update asked me to upgrade to version 9.5, but after download, a dialog pop up that the update package is not signed properly and installation must abort. Check Apimac website also show only 9.3 availble for download How Apimac is this careless?

I used this for quite few days and felt so disappointed. This notepad does not support pics and always take up too much memories. sometimes it just crashed. anyway, the price is quite higher than other similar ones. well, i gave up and chose omni group apps :-)

I'd like to know the logic behind the idea to present potential buyers with a not fully functional demo. I downloaded this app and played with it for 2 to 3 days. But as soon as I realized some of its features were disable, down it went to the trash. I won't pay for an app just to evaluate it and see if it meets my needs. The application looks good, but without me being certain the disable features work as intended or not, I'm giving it a one star rating for lack of functionality.

It is a really nice app and it is really useful to store everything and organize your brain all in one app: just open it and write whatever. I used to use entourage and woodoo but notepad is smaller and smart. For example i have been using that for 4-5 days and i have as categories: - Category Personal stuffs and then notes like: "Sentences", "tales", To-do, shopping... - Category "Customers" and then notes for webs that my customers have, like: one.com, anotherone.com, etc - Category "mywebs" and then one.com, two.com and inside everynote to-do, fonts that i use, etc. - Category "learning" and then "css", php, etc if i discover one new css trick for example i store it in CSS. - Category "to-do" and then "personal", profesional", etc You can choice to protect the note with a password, search, export and import notes, change font and color on a really easy and smart way and a long etc, so I like the app in general, the idea is nice and in my oppinion Notepad is the most similar notepad to the notepad i really would like and i am looking for... but it have some problems that one program of 20$ should to avoid... - Some bugs: if you copy&paste text from encourage, word, etc, then notepad will crash, and besides it crash with some more stuffs: the program just is suddently close (it is not really often and the program try to restore the database for itself, but i have lost some text i was writting or pasting coople of time in 4 days and it is not good for one 20$ soft...) - You can´t use Color tags - You can´t store pictures. I know that notepad is for text.. but it would be great. To take a long story short: notepad is nice and quite similar to the app i´m looking for to organice all the text, ideas, etc. I was going to buy it but it cost 20$ and in my oppinion it don´t have yet some stuffs to cost 20$, i would pay 10, 12.. Maybe 15, but 20 is too much because the program is good but it is still like a non-finished version. Anyway money is always one opinion, the program is not bad... Just check it! *Sorry 4 my mistakes, English is not my mother language...

While it's an ok notepad, it lacks the uniqueness or sophistication to justify its $20 price tag....but then, I question whether any notepad is worth $20. I MIGHT go for it if it were no more than $10, but at $20....out of the question. There are developers who put a lot more work into creating apps, and apps that are unique, too, yet charge half of what Mac Notepad goes for. Anyway, I'll definitely pass on this one.
