BetterDisplay (formerly BetterDummy) is a truly wonderful tool! Just installed the app on my mac mini. Brightness controls work great. Sound controls aren't working, although the on-screen sound bars are moving.

I use a Mac Studio Max, first with Monterey now Sonoma OS, with 2 Dell monitors thru the regular ports and one Asus gaming monitor thru a USB port. The Asus monitor has been blinkning and flickering since day one a year ago. There has been no way to alter this, changing the resolution or update frequency did not help. Then, TA-DA, installed this app last week and the problem was gone! Didn’t have to change anytning or do any adjustments. I’m happy, now my third monitor works as intended.

Very nice. Looks great. There are so many features and I don't even know what some of them are and how to benefit from them. Perhaps a video to explain and demonstrate before and after applying the feature? That would be great. Thanks.

If only Apple could make a display setting that worked this well, but then, they probably just don’t have the resources. I updated to Ventura, and suddenly my ultrawide monitor no longer worked. After 90 minutes of watching youtube videos, changing settings, plugging in and unplugging different cables, I found mention of this app on a forum, so I decided to try it before reverting my OS. Holy moly. Fixed everything within 30 seconds. I upgraded to Pro for no other reason than to show my support for a well made, easy-to-use product. (And pro is only $18! I had a cocktail last night that cost more than that and was NOT life changing.) Is $18 worth 90+ minutes of your life, plus the ease of use, extra features, and a sense that all is once again right in the world? If not, well, one can only wonder what you’re doing with your life.

Pretty amazing app. It can be a little hard to "get" at first and I still haven't understood all of it's capabilities and when you uninstall should you decide to, there are several steps to delete remnants etc to get the displays working back to normal in the display control panel. Definitely a lil "how-to" needed to fully understand it and it's not for everyone but it works amazingly well at what it does also.....just know it can be a bit weird to recover from should you uninstall it for whatever reason, check the github on what to restore and how to do so if things still don't act right in the display preferences of Monterey or even Ventura.

How do I increase the brightness beyond 100% now? I came from a licensed version o Better Dummy which allowed me to drag a slider way past 100. Now it is capped at that in Better Display. Is it built differently now?

Thank you so much for creating this app. I apologize for saying this while using it for free, but there is a little mouse delay because mirroring is used when using it. It would be very good if you could technically supplement this part and switch it to a paid one.
