Wundermoosen releases a free feature update to FontChecker for Mac OS X: The update is available through WunderMoosen Software Update/MooseUpdate or as free download. FontChecker 10.3.2 for Mac OS X was the first font inspection utility for Mac OS X to support unicode, giving access to large numbers of characters. FontChecker unlocks the world of Mac OS X fonts and turns each font into a Drag/Drop Character palette.
What's new in FontChecker X
This release is built as a Universal Binary. It is Ready for the new Intel Macs as well as current PPC Macs.
Fixed several cosmetic issues. Many changes to appearance for 10.4.
Reset evaluation period.
Changed and Improved Find. Find now works in Live Mode.
In this release FontChecker has the ability to run with a brushed metal appearance. Although this is not
the default, you can turn it on by checking "Preferences->Application Options->Use Brushed Metal Appearance".
Built with version Xcode 2.2 (GCC 4.0). This build is for Mac OS X 10.2.8 and up. Support is only provided for Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) and Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). This is may be the last build to the 10.2 API and has not been tested extensively on 10.2.
This is an interim release. There is a major upgrade of the product in the works.
Updated Software LIcense: Paying the license fee allows you the right to use one copy of the Software up to two computers for use by the same person such as a laptop and a workstation as long as both are not in use at the same time.
