Version 3.0.9:
- Fixed a user-reported bug that prevented some users from copying and pasting URLs into the compose screen.
I've been using Astro for about a month now and it is growing on me. The killer features for me are its grand abillity to filter out priority emails from "other". This way I only get notifications about emails that are important and can easily browse all the rest when I have a moment. I was getting so many mail notifications from useless receipts to new service alerts that my other mail program thought were new and importnat. I eventuall just started ignoring my mail notifications. Now with Astro I just get notifications for emails that matter. Also, if I am expecting an email from someone I can easily use the "Astrobot" to add a "VIP" and the email is already a priority before it even comes in.
The second killer feature is the Astrobot. It asks if I want to unsubscribe or archive emails to help me keep my inbox clean. It notices when I interact with a particular sender and suggests them as a VIP. It even highlighted that a VIP had asked a question in an email and I hadn't responded yet! It has been a nice assistant when I want to use it, and it's not intrusive. I've seen so many app developers that force you into using the in-app 'assistant' over the other features, and Astrobot is good at staying out of the way, but still letting you know that it is there to help.
Another feature I like is the ability to snooze a message until later. I can make a message pop back up in my inbox at anytime later in the day, Monday morning, or next week. The only issue has been an occasional inability to load a selected email in the app to read. This is not common, and I notice it in the Android app more so than on the Mac. Typically I just need to go back to the inbox and select the email again and it loads up.
Overall, Astro has been so helpful in keeping me up-to-date with any and all important messages that come my way. I recommend it!
