Push any content to any Apple device.

Overview

WALTR 2 helps you wirelessly drag-and-drop any music, ringtones, videos, PDF, and ePub files onto your iPhone, iPad, or iPod without iTunes. It is the second major version of Softorino's critically-acclaimed original WALTR, which solved 2 huge problems for every iOS user: unsupported media-format transfer without installing any additional 3rd-party iOS apps, as well as iTunes sync elimination -- allowing users to drag-and-drop files from any computer. WALTR 2 is here to add a few cherries on top.

  • Video formats: MKV, AVI, MP4, MOV, MPEG, m2ts, 3GP, WMV, H264, H265
  • Audio formats: MP3, FLAC, APE, ALAC, AAC, AIFF, WAV, WMA, OGG, OGA, WV, TTA, DFF
  • CUE sheet support (automatic breakdown of a single file into multiple tracks)
  • M4R Ringtones (includes support for ringtones over 30 seconds long)

Waltr is a great idea and at the core of it quite wonderful. However, I am finding that without the possibility to add content to existing playlists (or have new ones created as you upload) this is of limited use. Without some further development it will fall quickly behind and an innovative idea/approach will be lost.

Hi Wunderhorn,

You're so right!! We've had this on our to do list for a while now. And we plan on implementing the ability to add songs into playlists in the future updates. Unfortunately, this is not easy simply because such features require us to rethink the simplistic design/approach that WALTR is famous for. In any case, this is defiinitely a useful addition that we cannot wait to add :)

The first 5 min it was blown away, I dragged an MKV file to see if it would play on the iPad, to my surprise it did. When I went to see if I could delete it from the videos I noticed that I couldn't. Also, whenever I disconnected from the app and then reconnected to iTunes and would add a video and save it, it would delete all the other videos I had, the inverse was true. When I had a movie on the iPad from iTunes, and then went to drag a movie using Walter2, it would delete the videos I had already stored on the iPad. I think the program concept is great and simple, but there are kinks that really drive me away, I don't want to have to download things over and over, and have to choose between what I want stored. The fact that you can't delete things also is perturbing. I did notice that book files like .epub do not get deleted using iTunes, and that they also stay in the iPad even after moving files from the computer over. Weird. a 2 out of 5.

Hi there,

Thank you for your honest feedback. Please know that all of the files can be removed from your device. Which iOS version were you on when you tried to remove the files? Apple made it possible to remove files directly from the TV.app as well as going into Storage and deleting files from there.

As for your files being removed after transferring with WALTR, this may happen if you have automatic itunes sync enabled inside iTunes itself.

In any case, I'm sorry that you experienced this with our app. Hopefully, we may see you again and we'll exceed your expectations :)

Waste of $20. Advertised transferring content to an iPhone. This does not transfer a simple playlist. Poor customer service will not refund.

Hi Mark,

We respect your honest feedback. Please know that we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee (no questions asked). And our customer support is actually one of the most highly complimented features that users love when encountering Softorino. If you did not receive your refund or you had a bad experience with one of our support agents – please let me know via email at josh.brown@softorino.com and I will handle this ASAP.

The app is $40 regular price, I assume you're either referring to a discount that you've received or the first version of WALTR 1? In any case, WALTR 2 is advertised as a magic drop area that will transfer media files into any iPhone, iPad or iPod. You may see it on our website – we clearly state that you are able to transfer music, videos, books, PDFs and ringtones.

If you've read somewhere in an online review stating that WALTR 2 supports Playlists – please let us know. We'll reach out and ask the website owners to correct it. This will help avoid any confusion in the future.

Thanks!

You're referring to the $20 Waltr version 1 (which they're still selling), not the current version 2 (both of which are 40% off over the Black Friday weekend).

Hi Richard,

We never had WALTR 2 for such pricing. You're most likely referring to WALTR original which we sell for $19.95 at regular price and on Black Friday, there was a 40% OFF discount.

Waltr is promoted here phrasing "Push any content to any Apple device". This is simply untrue. You can push to iOS devices from a computer. But you can't do the other way round. I'm dissapointed.

Sorry to hear your disappointment, Martin. WALTR is promoted as an app that will Push content to Any Apple device. And it's true.

We did not promote it the other way around.

So I agree with Martin here. A Mac is an Apple device and you say your software will push content to any Apple device. Your vaguely worded advertising caused him some grief. You need to change your wording to something like "will push content to any Apple iOS device".

We understand your point but we cannot just change the wording to iOS device since WALTR 2 works with non-iOS devices as well, such as iPod shuffle, iPod Classic and iPod Nano.

In general, Mac is a "PC" (portable computer). It's a machine.

And a "device" is any electronic element with some computing ability that connects to the machine, and/or supports the installation of 3rd party software. I.e a mobile phone, computer mouse, speakers, printer, webcam, microphone, etc..

and this info can be found by searching online.

We honestly, never looked at a PC or Mac as a device. We don't want to create a debate over this. Since there are also descriptions, trials and examples as well as video demos showing off WALTR 2.

In any case, thanks for the feedback. We'll try to improve the wording to make it more clear and avoid any possible confusion.

PC stands for "Personal Computer," not portable. My iMac is not portable

Teamnoir – I don't think this is the best place to continue a discussion regarding the definition of "Device". There's tons of information online from sources that each will find credible to themselves.

Your macbook is not a device. You may see it like that. But your Macbook is considered a Portable Computer. It simply has devices such as a "mouse/touchpad", "keyboard" "computer components" – built into the Macbook box.

In any case, we will consider wording this differently to avoid any potential confusion. Thanks for pointing this out.
