I played Civilization for years now.
But with version 6 they made a bad job.

You have to choose up to ten advantages in culture and military out of nearly hundred.
That is confusing.

Then you have to plan very carefully, when building a city.
You habe prepare which direction to develop annd prepare a tile for certain direction.
This takes quite long.
Therefore nothing happens and nothing can be clicked for many rounds.
And without a notebook you might have forgotten, what you had in mind to build in this city.
You are not told, what job was just finished before, when a job is done.

The craftsmen are done with job after three rounds, they built anything all over the play like in all other versions before.

And you don´t see, how far in detail you have made it in the game anymore.
Or how many rounds you have to play, till you win.
There is no map, how it all started and how it developed like in previous versions, once you finish a game

Is drags on, while you play it.
And it is not rewarding to play.

I cannot recommend it.

Civ6 is a decent game, but I feel like I need to have a latest and greatest Mac Pro in order to enjoy it past an early stage of the game —it's such a system resource hog, even on a standard map size.
If you don't have a powerful Mac, I suggest you to check out two other strategy/management games instead of Civ6. These are RimWorld and Factorio. Simpler and faster visuals, and extremely deep in terms of strategy, fun and replayability. You'll enjoy these games more than good old Civ.
