I've been using Instant Translate for many months to answer support requests that are in a foreign language. Now I'm enjoying the new Mate Translate just as much. It is quick and easy enough for me to live chat in a user's native language with little to no miscommunications. I copy the text, hit the shortcut, and the menu item grabs it from my clipboard and translates it automatically. I would love another shortcut to stick the translated text into my clipboard, but even without that, it is streamlining my workflow in these cases. Best new feature (though maybe it was there before in IT but I just recently noticed it?) is the Pin to keep the menu item open if I need to click back and forth between windows.

The most convenient and powerful translator ever , it saves my time from opening and closing translation application. Just from the menu bar , the translation of any word or phrase is one click away , translate to over 130 plus languages , the app is always available for your needs. Very powerful.

Works well enough for my limited needs ( translating Spanish-English) but I must agree with those reviewers who find it rather dated-looking and not entirely intuitive to use.

Hey, can you please drop me a message at alex at twopeople.co and tell a bit more what seems not intuitive to you.

My rating has dropped considerably - based entirely now on lack of support - I have sent 3 requests to support in the past 10 days and have had no reply at all. I have uninstalled it and if I can, will be looking for a refund.

The translation seems relatively accurate, better than Google translate by far. But - Some kinks - no audio in Scots Gaelic (the reason I purchased it), some words that were translated under Scots Gaelic show up as Irish in my history, no way to delete or correct inaccurate history. And no reply from the authors when asked for support, in particular about the audio. Submitted 2 requests and nothing. I'm not going to use it much until I get some response from the authors on how to correct these 2 major problems (in my view anyway) - lack of audio and incorrect language listing.

I bought it for Malayalam, as that also is an unusual language. But how many users are there of either language? It can’t be economic to have audio for every single language . I’m just grateful that what it does do is significantly better than any other program I have found so far.

I love this app. It's super convenient having it in the menu bar and it works really well. The interface is very modern which I like and I enjoy using it. If you have the need to translate languages you can't go wrong with this app!

Definitely better than Google translate, way better. 5th star would come from more updated look for today's systems. The look is a little bit outdated.

It relies on Google Translate, so I don't understand why you state that it is "definitely better."

Works great on an iMac when you set up "dictation". Very useful software for people learning foreign languages. Translations in japanese are much better as those of Google Translate. Four stars because the instructions for use could be more complete depending on the device on which it is installed.
