I was about to post a gripe about this software and found that someone else beat me to it.
This software is buggy. I emailed the developer and what did he do? Told me to go post in the forums to get votes in order to fix the software issues.
What kind of crap is that?
There is a lot of bugs pertaining to categories. I did my part in sending the developers an overview of the problem. If they are going to push me to a forum in order to get the problems resolved via votes then I am going to look for another piece of financial software to use.

It's a great application, but I wish it does sync to Dropbox so that the Android app does sync with the iPhone and my Mac. Syncing in iCloud does make the Apple products Synced but not the Android mobiles.
Unfortunately, I stopped using it for that reason.
Don't expect any support from this developer, they'll just instruct you to post in their forum and wait for other users to respond. Good luck with that - there's nearly 800 threads for this app in the past 16 months. I might accept that from a $5 app, but not when I'm paying thirty bucks!
Within 10 minutes of opening this app for the first time, I found a missing function related to income. Then I quickly discovered more missing and/or confusing functions.
So I emailed the dev. about my findings. If you think they were thankful or even a bit concerned, you couldn't be more wrong. "Their only comment was "You can share your ideas on our Forum. We review and implement the most valuable and in-demand features submitted by our users."
I managed to figure out how to import my bank statement (the instructions are vague and erroneous). After doing so you're asked to assign a category for each column of data. That's when I discovered there's no category for "balance." How do you release a financial app without a balance column?!
Other apps I've used automatically adjust for payments that fall on weekends or holidays. Not this one! Even though it was requested in the forum in Sept. 2015. Evidently that, like most other requests, weren't "in-demand" enough to include in an update. I mean really - how often are weekends and holidays gonna roll around anyway?
I was hoping I'd simply overlooked some things and could get some assistance. Hard to believe that a missing balance header hasn't been reported previously and then deemed valuable enough for inclusion.
To address this Developer's request for direct reviews, I can state that I used Money Pro for last 6 months of 2016 in tandem with Quicken for Mac. So I feel I have some real life experience with it.
Money Pro is a very responsive application that is quite stable, has a very polished UI/UX, and accomplishes some common tasks with ease such as budget management and reporting. Add to this an iOS app that, IMHO, is the best integrated banking app for iPhones...the ease of using it and entering transactions puts Quicken's years-old solution to shame.
But I have one caveat and it's a big one for me. As someone who has 2 checking accounts, 3 savings ones, 3 credit cards, and numerous college, retirement, and investment funds plus I share these with another person (wife), Money Pro's lack of automatic banking retrieval and to a lesser extent bill pay, makes the daily use of this application nearly impossible. The time spent entering transactions and/or reconciling with the banks is prohibitive.
Get this feature, and I truly believe Money Pro will be my de facto banking application...otherwise, I don't have the time to invest in it.
While the product looks reasonably functional for simple home finance (Only looked at the guide) it lacks a lot of features that I find essential for a complete home finance program. Features are showstoppers for me that were not mentioned in the guide include no direct downloads from financial institutions (import only), no bill pay from within the program, and no provision for handling investments. I find these features to be essential for the serious head of household money management product. I have yet to find such a product for the Mac that does it all, that is stable, handles starting a new year, at a reasonable and fair price. The only one that seems to come close is Quicken but at over $200 a year for the full package and reported stability issues, it currently is not worth my consideration at the present time. I am currently using MoneyDance but looking for a replacement as it is virtually impossible to start a new year unless you do it from scratch, and in a few years my file size has reached a point that is having significant impact on performance.
