SafeInCloud overview

SafeInCloud is a complete password management solution: free desktop application + mobile application for phones and tablets.

Protect your data with unique and secure passwords! Forget the headache of remembering PINs and passwords! Start using a password manager today!

  • Easy to Use - Try it yourself and enjoy an easy-to-use yet powerful user interface.
  • Strong Encryption - Your data is always encrypted on a device and in a cloud with a strong 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). This algorithm is used by the U.S. Government for protection of a top secret information. AES is also widely adopted worldwide and became the de facto encryption standard.
  • Cloud Synchronization - Your database is automatically synchronized with your own cloud account (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive). Thus you can easily restore your entire database from a cloud to a new phone or computer (in case of a loss or an upgrade). Your phone, tablet and computer are also automatically synchronized between each other via a cloud.
  • Password Strength Analysis - SafeInCloud analyses your password strengths and shows a strength indicator next to each password. The strength indicator displays an estimated crack time for a password. All cards with weak passwords are marked with a red sign.
  • Password Generator - The password generator helps you generating random and secure passwords. There is also an option to generate memorable, but still strong passwords.
  • Browser Integration - The Desktop application integrates with a browser. This allows you to paste passwords directly into web pages. You don't need to manually copy and paste passwords from SafeInCloud into a browser. The mobile application contains a built-in browser with a similar password auto-fill functionality.
  • Automatic Data Import - The Desktop application can automatically import your data from another password manager. You don't need to manually reenter all your passwords.

Was working fine abet having to enter password separately both for the App and the browser extension for each browser used which can be annoying. However when upgrading my Mac to a MacDesktop 2019 and Catalina the browsers (3 different ones) allow the contextual menus to be used once and they generate a cryptic error message with successive usage. Efforts to get support for this issue failed miserably and ultimately I was given the "Big Boy" support option- i.e. "You're a big boy now, fix it yourself", meaning I was told that it was my extensions, or configuration issue and I would have to figure it out for myself. I spent hours doing this without success and finally did the definitive test which was to reformat a drive; install the latest MacOS to it, and add only a single extension and App to the clean system which as the SafeInCloud App and the browser extension for Brave. When tested with this configuration I experienced the same failure. From my perspective it confirms to me that the issue is either the browser extension contextual menus of SafeInCloud are either incompatible with Apple's latest professional desktop computers, or the latest versions of Catalina, of which their support seems to be in denial of. My last contact them was to inform me that they will be releasing soon a new version of the App or Extension and have no idea if it will fix this issue but wanted me to volunteer to test it for them on my machine after they release it. My response to them is why don't they test it themselves before they release it to see if they are sending out buggy software to their customers. The level of support and arrogance I have received regarding this issue is the primary reason for a 2 Star rating. Otherwise, if it worked properly, I would likely give it a 4 star rating taking into account the requirement to enter passwords multiple times for the various parts of the App and browser extensions and no contextual menu available for entering passwords into Apps, or files while in Finder. Instead one must open the App copy the desired password, etc. and paste it into the desired field. FYI: In regard to contextual menus operation, they worked consistently and reliably in High Sierra on an older MacPro Desktop.

This is one of the BEST password managers written. It works on iPhone, iPad, Mac OS X, and Windows…
It keeps its entire database file encrypted via the master password on the cloud service of your choice, drop box, etc… Thus it syncs wth all your other devices which have Safe In Cloud installed.
VERY customizable for each password card… Each password card has the ability to have a notes section, attaceh image or file option. Set labels for you passwords to group them like University.
Has ability to include www address so just click on that inside you password card and it will take you directly to what ever site to login.
I use chorme and d/l the Safe In Cloud plug in so while I surf I just click the Safe In Cloud button and I log right in.
Developer was also VERY responsive to small technical issue and trouble shot the issue all the way to resolution.
Download it and play with it and you’ll see what I mean.. I’ve been using it for years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It comes with the 'Pro' features turned on for 2 weeks. Then it costs a supposedly one time fee of $5 for mobile devices. I am also suspicious of the 2nd & 3rd review as they find no shortcomings and the review count is "0". However given a free trial version and its low non-subscription cost I am tempted to give it a try. If I do, I intend to give it an full unbiased review that lists both its good points and shortcomings..

It's a good alternative for 1Password which I've been using for some time untill this app. Now I moved to SafeInCloud and it serves me well. I also installed it on my phone. It's very helpful.

I've been using and suggesting 1Password since version 2, and now I've had enough of it.
Looking for something better, I've found SafeInCloud in Google Play and after a miraculous successful import of all my 1Password logins (even with original folders and software licenses), I chose it as my password manager.
None of other famous apps (tried LastPass, Keeper and Dashlane) could do the trick , I mean import everything from PIF file. When you have tons of passwords (>500), it's the main feature you're looking for.
SafeInCloud is a cheap, multiplatform, easy and fast password manager. It can sync with online services. Smartphone version has fingerprint unlock too. But the browser extensions don't save new logins and autofill needs some UI improvements.. Once it's done, I think it could be the best password manager ever.

Let me be the first to review this... I've been a long time user/lover of Wallet but since they've stopped development, I've been forced to move on -- the big selling feature for me is the ability to create your own templates and customize them as needed per entry as some logins can differ. The next thing I look for is design... The interface has to look and feel like apple and the icon needs to look professional -- petty yes, bud I judge books by their cover! Next of course it needs to support all platforms. I especially love the free desktop version and the affordable UNIVERSAL iOS apps. I've tried about a dozen different password apps including the famous 1password, and until I stumbled upon this app, none of the others had everything I was looking for in one app. My only beefs is that (until now) it didn't support file attachments. I'm happy it now does -- and I love the new icon by the way! :) Secondly, I'm not a big fan of how it handles browser integration -- Wallet's integration was more seamless. Thirdly, I love the clean icons within the app and the ability to colorize them -- I just wish there were more of them. At the end of the day SafeInCloud won me over and I committed myself through manually importing each of my 300+ logins -- it has an import feature, but I'm anal and it gave me an opportunity to weed out some of the logins I no longer use. I hope this app has a long healthy future and the developer continues to keep it great! :)
