Here's a counter review to somewhat make up for "pieteropie" and his troll review of software he has no idea what it's for. Does what it save and does it great. Tried to set it to generate 500 names but had to use the up arrow to increment one at a time. Still, the 500 names looked pretty good. One things I'd like is the ability to add names to the database as the names generated are pretty plain vanilla anglophone names. Still, it's free and does its job. Thanks to the dev.

If you click on an up/down control and hold it down, the count will increment/decrement quickly. You can make your own list of First Names and Last Names. To do this, click on Names / Show First Names (or Show Last Names), click on Clear Table and add your own names. When you close the window(s), the names in the table will be saved for the next session.

@ Dev: Thanks for the tip about quickly incr/decrementing, as well as how to create lists. Actually i was hoping to be able to add names to the builtin database without creating a separate list. However, the app is excellent as it is.

Actually, you can add names to the "default" names in the table. Whatever is in the table will be saved automatically. However, if you click on the Use Default List button, you will resort to the initial names.

@ Dev: Thanks. Yes, I see now how this is done. I hadn't actually used that menu option but seeing is learning. Sorry for the confusion.

So since you have no idea what it's useful for, you give it a crappy half star review?

Because there are times when a writer or novelist or a web page author needs to have a dummy list of names to populate example tables, or use as characters in a story, or just to fill out names somewhere. i've needed something like this ever since the phone company no longer delivered phone directories.

Besides, it's free. If you don't understand it, then don't download it.
