Drag-and-drop images to e-mail.

Overview

Anti Inline Plugin: The problem I've been struggling with OS X Mail app for some time now. The Mail app is fast, simple, quick and fun to work with. It is so much more than the other bloated mail client apps. However, there is this annoying issue with sending image attachments to anyone who is not using Mail app (gmail, yahoo, outlook, thunderbird,...). The images always end up inlined and the result is that the people who receive my emails get this little tiny image without options and need to do extra work to see the image. Also a lot of those people are not tech savvy so they quickly lose patience and move on. The solution is to disable image inlining. I've tried every possible combination to disable image inlining with options and defaults but without any luck. Google searches didn't provide much except that other people are having the same problem. There is this one app for $15 which is just too much for this single feature. The solution - Anti Inline Plugin So.. I have waited for OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) hoping that this annoyance will go away. It did not. I finally ran Xcode and wrote this tiny plugin that forces images not to inline. I can again, finally, just drag and drop images to the email with no worries, yippie! The plugin is free for the taking.

I've used this product for a number of years and it was great and even purchased a license. The app was upgraded with Mac Sierra (version 2.5) but when Apple released 10.12.2 it failed to function. All attempts to contact the developer since 12/13/2016 have gone unanswered. His website will not accept any posts after the 9/26/2016 rave comments. Looks like he gave up on the project.

This doesn't work for Mojave and zero replies from the developer. Have given up on this! Seems he has given up on it. Nice idea but one to avoid.

Zero response from developer for more than a month! I downloaded the Mojave version of Anti-Inline over a month ago. The next day when opening Mail I got a pop-up saying the trial had expired and I needed to buy a license. I clicked the "Purchase License" link and was taken to a web page where I purchased a license. Back in Mail, I entered the License info to activate the plugin and it said “License invalid”. Then I noticed that the webpage that the Purchase License link sent me to was the Sierra and El Capitan license, not the Mojave license. I immediately emailed support@clivegaleni.com to ask if he could give me a license that would work with the Mojave version. No response. Have emailed once a week for the past five weeks and have never received a response. I don't understand how someone can sell software and provide absolutely no support for it.

Hi Rick,

Did you finally get any response? I do have the same problem with my Mojave version of Anti Inline. And the developer doesn't reply on my messages …
Best regards

1. The Trial is too short (I installed it before I went to bed, when I wake up, the trial was expired). 2. $14.90 is too expensive (I bought it, but I don't know when I need this function (actually, this function is very old-school or you can call classic). 3. There are some Bugs, for example, A. When you opened the Preference of the Native Mail App, a blank Window always pops up. It’s very annoying. B. When you clicked “Enter license” in the Preference Panel, this app cannot remember your License Code. Thanks.

I must add that Mr. Galeni does not answer when questioned about these bugs. The app is not cheap, but the support is!

Just as a backup, i've been testing an email client called https://polymail.io/. You can test for a couple of weeks FOC. It's very good, very clean and sends attachments as they are supposed to be.

Purchased and paid for a license under 10.12.1 updated to 10.12.2 a couple of weeks later which breaks the plugin. Since then no reply from the developer.

It isn't free. The Sierra version doesn't work; support doesn't answer emails or reply to posts on their blog.

Yes, thats right - just upgraded to macos 10.12.2 and the macos Sierra version 2.5 is not working:( I will try to contact the support, but as 10.12.2 is released for a while now, I do not have a lot of hope ... but we will see.
