Interesting "reviews" here. Both reviewers have gotten an account for the only reason to write about FoneLab. They are members on MU since the day they wrote their "review"; they have never downloaded any software on MU (not even FoneLab), haven't written any other comments. And well, they both are prone to forget the "-ed" when writing an English phrase in past simple ("it also instruct me", "reduce a lot of trouble"). Hmm… Dear developer, if you are trying this way to get a good rating, well… An app like FoneLab gets access to a lot of personal, sensitive data, and well, I wouldn't trust a developer who writes fake reviews here at MacUpdate…

Check out the FonePaw screenshot. Look familiar? I'd avoid both of these apps like the plague. Beware of sketchy developers.

I don't know. Macworld wrote a very good review of the software in Feb. 2014 and said it worked fine. They described it as a good way to save your iPad files to your Mac if you forget your iPad password. Which my wife has just done!!! So I'm looking for a way to backup her photos et al before reformatting the iPad, which would be pretty tragic if she can't save them.

The software is also pretty expensive. The Macworld article - even though over a year old - links to a special Macworld discount too, which takes the price from 89.95 to 62.96, which you have to weigh against losing all your files if you forget your password. Does the software work? That's the 62 dollar question. I was hoping somebody had already tried it. Oh well. If I break down and buy it, I'll come back and let everybody know.
