Faust's Friend uses push technology to grab news headlines from MacSlash.com, Slashdot.org, MacFixIt, and the Moreover News network. It then displays the headlines in an orderly fashion on your desktop.
What's New
Version 2.4 adds the following:
  • Added Channel Manager and RSS capabilities. This opens up a huge new range of channels that Faust can be used to monitor. www.syndic8.com is an excellent source for these feeds.
  • Added MacObserver channel.

I use Faust's Friend all the time and have since its inception, it keeps me on top of Mac happenings and general tech news, IT IS GREAT.
