Reckless Driving is a new action game for the Mac. It's gameplay is similar to it's predecessor, Burning Rubber, a Mac shareware game I released in 1996. In Burning Rubber one had to drive a car through 2-dimensional levels as fast as possible, leaving as much destruction as possible on the way. Reckless Drivin' follows the same basic principle, however, it has been completely rewritten from scratch, and it employs a new graphics engine featuring smooth, dynamically zoomed, scrolling 16-bit graphics. The physics simulation has been redesigned to realistically resemble skidding and tire tracks on different road surfaces.
To learn how to play the game, click on the 'Help' button in the Reckless Drivin' main menu, or just start a new game, and see for yourself.

The author pulled this from sale and posted a free code when he decided not to fix its OpenGL issues: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20160814042915/http://www.jonasechterhoff.com/Reckless_Drivin.html
I remember playing burning rubber when it was out, and I thought it was absolutely brilliant.
No faults at all.
This is a great newer version of the game, but I miss the original! Wish you could find some way to update Burning Rubber for Mac OSx.
This game only shows a blank white screen on my macbook pro running 10.5.2. I can still click on button and start playing the game, but i only see a white screen. I can, however, see skid marks when i start driving then break. All sound effects still work as well.
