Considering all the other apps that do the same... plus more, I find this app unnecessary and will need to come up with a whole slew of extras in order to compete for those dollars. Oh, wait.... it's free.

Never mind.

What’s wrong in creating another app, which does similar or identical things to others?! Maybe it proves to be better or as good as others or worse... It is always better to have an additional choice. What is your point, in fact? That, if you like a good soup, you will that one and only that one? Maybe next time you’ll try another one.

Yes, you're quite right of course. However I would rather die than switch soups!!

It's tomato soup or death!

While there are many apps that perform these functions this is the first I've seen that performs through the menu bar. Maybe I've missed that option in Onyx etc. But I do not recall ever seeing it in any of the apps I've used. I wish this app was for 10.6 & 10.8 as my use of 10.9 is near non existent.

Have you tried it?
It seems to work fine.
Why not?

Because people can give it star ratings without actually writing a review. Same as the iTunes and MAS stores.

Here's a working link to developer's site:

http://www.creativengineering.it

... but it's also in Italian, so the only part I recognized was instructions for donating via PayPal.

(sorry for conversing w/ myself...)

Forgot to mention that Google Chrome will translate the page, but features appear very limited as compared to other MacOS "tweak" tools.

I'm still hoping for some "magic" to restore Labels to Mavericks 10.9...

Well, there's an English flag right under the Italian one: just click it.

I think you are alone in this quest my friend. You really miss having translucent crayons laying over your filenames? Colored folders won't work with tag colors? Try it out, you will be surprised how much more legible and clean it will look. iconXprit is nice for that. Good dev, updates aren't frequent but they also aren't unnecessary and costly.

Oh well, we all have our beef with new features. I hate that selected filenames are circular! Give me back my full rectangle selection. Apple's killing me with their cutting corners fetish lately.

It is in Italian and I don't speak the language. I can't figure out what the GUI reveals and consequently can't understand what is being said in the interface. I tried to contact the Developer at his web site but it won't connect to the place listed in Macupdate.com It would be unfair for me to rate it at this point.

It looks like a super-stripped-down version of a tool like onyx. You'd be able to modify backgrounds, hide/unhide files and nothing more. Kind of useless apart as a programming code exercise?

Not in English, but not stated as such.

Seems repetitious of other software that does all of this and more. Why do we need another?
