MailHub for Mavericks overview

MailHub for Mavericks is a time-saving email management plugin that can file, delete, or enact actions on emails without leaving your inbox. Email from a contact or thread can be batch-filed to a mailbox (or deleted) with a series of simple mouse clicks or key strokes, radically reducing time spent on mail administration. MailHub even allows you to specify filing destinations for an outgoing message during composition. Create new mailboxes as you go and set action reminders so you won't forget a vital task at a later date.

Note: this update will accept your license key from the Lion or Snow Leopard versions, and is a free update if you own a license already.

I have not installed or used MailHub. I have, however, searched for info about the company and it appears that the company has filed "dormant" accounts at UK Companies House. This means the company still exists but that "it is not trading". Here is a link to the accounts filed for March 2014. http://ukdatacentre.co.uk/company-document/07613714/Prod224_0012_07613714_20140331.html This backs up the concern people have about the lack of email support and the last tweet being 6 months old. Like others below I hope it is a simple explanation and that the developer is ok. It's just very odd indeed that there has been no communication. A real shame as this plugin for Apple Mail looked like a winner.

I have sendt several mails and left messages on the developers site, but without ANY response. This app does not work on the new El Capitan OS (beta) and it would be nice to know if there might be an update sometime in the future. Very strange with no information, as the app is actually quite good and useful. Would recommend it, but can't when the communication is non-existent.

Has something terrible happened to the company that makes this wonderful Mail plug-in, or its developer? In the past, my few requests for assistance received speedy responses, and there was an active user forum on which the developer participated. Now the developer forum has disappeared, and my recent support request has gone unanswered for several weeks. There doesn't seem to be any activity since a March update. Concerned.

I've been trying to install the Yosemite version for days but the installer hangs everytime and emails to the developer go unanswered. I love it but really miss it since "upgrading" to Yosemite.

Must have plugin for Apple Mail. Use it every day. Just had one problem: when I filed a message on send to a local mailbox, the message was filed to the local destination correctly but another copy of the message was still in the "Sent" mailbox of the IMAP account (and I have to delete this copy manually). Solution to the problem: - Selected ‘Auto-file related messages in ‘Sent Items’ mailbox’ in MailHub preferences ‘Filing’ tab - Selected 'When auto-filing messages: Move from ‘Sent’' - Deselected ‘Auto-file related messages in ‘Sent Items’ mailbox’

Am leaving another note to say how happy I am with the program. Very well thought out, extremely accurate with predicting folder destinations. Simply could not use Apple Mail without it. Hope folks continue to buy the program and support the developers. Note I have NO financial or other incentive; just a user, like you.

Great application if you want to keep the overview over your mail without hassle. Responsive developer, app get's immediately updated after a system update. Extremely thoughtfully designed. I have been using it for 2 ½ years and can only recommend it. Try it!

Still crashes Mail . This version has made no difference to Mail on Mavericks 10.9.2. Only way I can run mail it to ditch this plug-in. Remind me, Why did I pay for it? If it does not work I can only give the stars ti deserves - from me = O.

Fantastic program. Responsive developer. Fair price with generous update policy. Super useful functions, with lots of functions I haven't even explored. Best surprise is I find it can completely block Apple's 'mark as read' function when a message is simply previewed. Files on send, with or without grouped messages. Extremely thoughtfully designed. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone with more than one mailbox.

FYI: The new Apple update for Mavericks (10.9.2) with Apple Mail 7.2 will disable MailHub, MailTags, and Mail Act-On. But reinstalling MailHub (beta 1.7B64) seems to work. The other two are now disabled and non-functioning with the update.

Hello MacUpdate: There seems to be some discrepancy in the headline area that shows this product to be "Shareware ($397.00)" and the information box where is is listed for $19.00. What's up here?

This tool seems useless in Mavericks. Without this plugin, one can already archive any email using ^⌘A shortcut. And you can search and find just about any email when needed. Second, there is no manual, so I only found a few articles on the help site that didn't cover the multitude of options this comes with. From the screenshots, I thought it might auto-archive threads. It does not. You have to tell it to file every new message even though you've filed previous messages in that thread. Make the app auto-archive or "mute" threads and then it'll be useful. I uninstalled.

Note: MailHub runs on 10.6 through 10.9. The developer provides installers for all four versions of OS X. For example, I just opened the Installer folder, opened the "For 10.7 Lion" folder and installed the provided v1.2 beta 54 for OS X 10.7. It installs and works fine with Mail on OS X 10.7. IOW: It is NOT just for OS X 10.9 Mavericks! Contact the developer if you have questions.

I've used Mailhub for 3 years. It is one of the most effective productivity enhancement add-on apps I have ever seen in 25 years of using a Macintosh computer. It is intuitive, effective and efficient... a huge time saver. It has an uncanny ability to select the correct folder for storing out-going AND in-coming mail. And, the developer responds quite quickly to tech questions. This is a great add-on to Mail.
