WARNING: New report shows Cryptocat has too many design flaws as to be safe to use:

http://isecpartners.github.io/publications/iSEC_Cryptocat_iOS.pdf

Check out 1.3 Findings Summary

The practical security of CryptoCat on all platforms, at time of review, is currently equivalent to a standard XMPP client without OTR and falls short of the security provided by an XMPP client with OTR.

Also not listed in the MU listing is the removal of Tor support for Mac because no one maintains it.

BluenoteMac, I posted this back in July. Look at the date of my post. It was a valid warning and the fact that the developers made such a blunder with something that purports privacy should give anyone pause in the future as well. This is the kind of stuff that gets activists jailed, tortured and killed.

Sorry if you can't handle the truth or look at dates of posts.
There are currently no troubleshooting comments. If you are experiencing a problem with this app, please post a comment.
