Hey, we are at MU so let's talk about the app and not how much pricing -1 cent bothers you or how an app's value (subjective) can be reasoned from a quick glance at the developer's page.

We all know Apple is terrible making us have MAS. I am not a fan but either stop using a mac or ignore MAS apps. Nothing we can do and Apple has made it far too appealing to developers. Oh well.

I hope someone has something to contribute other than the non-sense below. Sorry guy's, I don't want to be mean but I'm tired of seeing MAS apps become pages of "no try - no buy" "app is no good, I don't use mas" 1 star reviews.

I thought 'reviews' were made for people trying the app and 'comments' were made for any other aspect (including the price and advices to others about alternative softwares).
Thanks a lot for having cleared what we have the right to mention in our comments, it was 99.99% useful! ;-)

You can write whatever you feel like in the comments but if every MU member posted like you we would have listings filled with this kind of nonsense: " pleeeaaaase: stop with those moronic prices "9.99", we all know it means 10!!! "

Way to contribute something pertaining to the app that benefits members. Hmm, must just be you and the repeating 9's... ... it was 99.99% useful! ;-) ... stop with those moronic prices "9.99")

Take care Aargi, and thank you for letting me know what number comes after 9.

Well, actually Aargl has a point. Pricing like 9,99$ is plain stupid as is the MAS. Both valid points. And if those points apply to your software you as a developer have to live with those comments showing up.

I know Fishscale, you are not the dev, but that doesn't change anything about what I just wrote.

Well I am from Switzerland and here this app costs 10 francs. Which again causes some people to complain, because actually it should cost only 9 francs, because the dollar is weaker than the Swiss franc. Umm, actually 8.99 (that is today, 2nd January 2014).

Anyway, I don't care if it's 9.99 or 10, but what I really don't like is developers not providing a demo. Because this way, MacUpdate is just sort of promotional website: the developer has a chance to present screenshots and a description of his app (so basically: ads) and then people should buy to be allowed to review – that is the exact same situation like in the MAS, so why should we visit MacUpdate?

That said, recently I found a very good and useful app that is MAS-only; I downloaded only because it was on sale (and really cheap). Over the last year(s), it has become harder and harder to ignore the MAS…

How can you tell that this program is worth five stars? Have you seen the website?. I have not seen such a poor, broken website and you expect me to pay money for this software.

Why should i pay for this when skim is free?

Indeed! This app should be a whole lot better than Skim to deserve 10 bucks! :-D
