BookMaker overview
BookMaker is a fully automatic process creates a print-ready book layout PDF from one or more PDF files. The resulted PDF file can be printed directly using your digital printer to make the book.
How does BookMaker Work?
Drop your PDF file on the BookMaker drop window. BookMaker will create a book layout for you. You may add additional PDF files, if any, using the PDF links window. If you want, you can customize crop marks, color bar, slug line, etc. Click the ‘Export to PDF’ button to create a final imposition-ed PDF file. Then print the resulted PDF file.

This is by far the best imposition tool for simple booklets / saddle-stitched brochures I know, and at a very affordable price.
Very customizable, you can even combine several PDF sources. Various color/crop mark settings. You can save the settings for each document to a file. Includes also the possibility to set the needed creep in function of customizable paper weight (which works a lot better than the InDesign creep solution for example).
Years ago I used the (expensive) Quite Imposing Acrobat plug-in; for regular saddle-stitch, BookMaker is superior. (They offer also a full-blown version that seems to cover all imaginable imposition setups.)
