I'm very confused by this. I have a Firefox add-on/extension, Pocket (formerly Read It Later), which seems to still work although I am OS 10.6.8.

But now there is this app, which apparently connects to all browsers -- although who knows for sure, as the product description is very vague, and the video at the developer's site is even vaguer -- however it is only for OS 10.7+.

To confuse matters further, when I go to FF's add-ons page and look at "Pocket", it calls it version 3.0 (like this application here) but the download is called read_it_later-3.0.0

Can anyone explain, please? As the "developer"'s page is bereft of pertinent information

bbw7 - This application is for actually reading the articles that you save to Pocket. The Firefox extension, as you probably know, is just for saving articles to be read at a later time. Our screenshot on this listing was actually showing a browser extension instead of the Mac app, so I've updated those so hopefully it's a bit more clear :)

To your second point, Pocket was formerly called Read It Later and I'm guessing they just forgot to change the download name on the Firefox extension.

Hope that helps clarify!

Outstanding software. Both usable and gorgeous looking, this is what Mac software should look and behave like. Best of all, it's free.

Great app It is similar to Instapaper but it is free. Very nice GUI and very attractive. I use both Instapaper and Pocket and they are great!
