Cloud Mate adds a Finder-like interface to iCloud, and adds iCloud to the Finder. iCloud is great. iCloud splits all your content up by the app that created it. iCloud hides your Photo Stream. Cloud Mate sets those files free!

Here are just some of the reasons we think you'll love Cloud Mate:
  • Want to get to all your iCloud files from your iOS device? Just pair up Cloud Mate on the Mac with its iOS brother (watch a video here)
  • Want to add iCloud to your Finder and all application file dialogs? No problem.

Simply and somewhat overpriced for what it does. I’d like to be able to delete an application reference and all the files it created. At the moment I cannot seem to delete the reference to the app, only the files it created.

App is growing to me. Especially version 1.5.0 has some great improvements in both speed and fixes.

Also check Cloud Mate on iOS https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cloud-mate/id623799272?l=en&mt=8

Bought and installed CloudMate. To get full Finder support you need to install FUSE. (I don't like FUSE and I should have been warned that it was installed)

Website is confusing and not very informative, pictures can't be enlarged. so a lot of questions remain. FAQ would be welcome.

In the main window I see a lot of "unknown" apps which is a mystery to me... but again, no FAQ or more details.

Latest versions work fine as advertised. The app just seems rather simple/limited in functionality.

Great app with nice UI but the price might be to high for some people who can do this with plaincloud which is free but plain cloud's UI is not that nice as this app. A good price point would have been 3.99.

It's a simple app (which I feel the price correctly reflects) that does what it says it will. I've found it much easier to see what I have in the cloud (especially when I've forgotten which app I created what in), and even rescued some files that were created in an iPhone app I don't use anymore.

Simple, reasonably priced, and does what it says it will.

I agree that for me no demo = deal breaker. What would be a lot niftier would be an app that would let me get around the restrictions Apple puts up that keeps iCloud from providing full-service offsite storage (e. g. letting me store Word files as well as Pages ones).

That's absolutely possible with Cloud Mate. You can really use any existing iCloud app to hold any kind of file and sync it between machines. However we heavily use GoodReader (with iCloud turned on) as our "app of choice" as it allows us to open and read so many of the file formats directly on our iOS devices.
There are currently no troubleshooting comments. If you are experiencing a problem with this app, please post a comment.
