I just tried the ASR demo and I got to say it was very frustrating. The demo just didn't work for me at all. I printed out the "getting started" file instructions and followed them as I was reading. I remember the disclaimer stating you could record and save tracks but you couldn't save mixes. OK, fine but the downloaded copy I have would only save one track and I couldn't even record anything else after that. Why would you expect me to pay 30 dollars for a full version if the demo doesn't work? Could there be that there's something I'm doing wrong? If anyone reading this has any ideas, please feel free to e-mail me.

unlike the other users I dont think this program is total rubbish...yes, it did take some work figuring out how to use it, but with a little patience I was mixing 4 tracks down using my rca and microphone inputs and no additional hardware. It is also easy to use other recording programs available for free to record a 4-track mix and then send it back into Authentic Sound Recorder so as to lay down more tracks. I agree with the other critiques in that I would not spend the 30.00 for a full version given that this program is still rather crude and is a memory hog. Feel free to email me if you want any tips on getting this thing to work.

This program is an absolute pile of rubbish! It doesn't record anything. I've tried for 15 minutes trying to get something to work but all in vain. Don't waste your time with this z-grade 'program'!

Using this was an absolute exercise in futility! Even when following the instructions verbatim, it would not work properly!
