Still can't get my head around the $200 price when Rhyme Genie 4.0 is $25 and does nearly the same thing. At least check out the competition before you part with your hard earned. If it was $35 I'd buy it. At which point the developer has a conniption arguing that he spent a lot of time developing the app. Yep, heard that one. Developer's argument. Customer's argument is, 'What does it do and how much is it?' What it does is pretty much the same as the competition for EIGHT times the price. It is a good app - possibly a great app, but WAY overpriced.
Now at version 3. Pricing model has changed - with 6 month, 1 and 2 year licenses, (9.95, 99.95 & 149.95). Currently 50% off. (The link to the website needs updating, by the way)
This looks okay, if all you want is a finely-tuned bunch of word lists. Might be worth fifteen dollars if your own vocabulary is limited — examples presented in the on-line demo range from ultra-obvious to childish, okay if you’re doing a goofy novel or a Sesame Street jingle. I asked dev about actual writing tools; he replied that MW is “definitely primarily a reference tool rather than a pure writing tool.” Caveat emptor.
