I like this app. It does what it says.
I have quite a few groups of /etc/host entries that I have to enable or disable temporarily.
Horst allows me to do this with a single click.
I don't see how 'Host Manager' or Textwrangler could help here.

Everyone's trying to make a quick buck. This is so stupid. I wish other Mac users would see through this crap.

agreed. just take a browse at the apple store and you'll stumble upon some forgotten apps which suddenly and mysteriously got updated from "leopard to lion", if you catch my drift, and other silly apps that do just one thing like "launch your favorite applications with hotkeys!" or "batch convert a lot if images at a time, quick and easy!".

that's life. Some will be lured, some will not.

I wish you’d explain what you mean. Why is this crap? I’m not defending Horst and I have no axe to grind, I just don’t see the value of your statement — a little explication would help me understand why this app is a scam, or nefarious, or whatever it is you mean.

Use the Host Manager. It's freeware and does the same job well.

or textwrangler, if you already have it and don't need yet another single-task app to bloat your applications folder.
