The developer must have abandoned this software because:
1) there's no way to register the software as the registration emails don't work.
2) The database is dated Feb 2011...nothing after that.
3) There's no way to contact the dev.
4) The software hasn't been updated since Dec 2011

Developer's web site is down. My app is not functioning, and I cannot download a fresh copy. Hope this app has not been discontinued...

The only way to quickly sort through and find what is available on the app store. Find the free and discounted applications easily, sort and group by application types. It is a much quicker interface than the actual app store. I wish this was available for IOS applications too.

I use Appalicious as my gateway to the App Store. I use its search tools to find apps that I don't think I would have found using just the App Store's search box. Because Appalicious keeps a "Price History", it helps me find bargains. It's amazing how apps prices fluctuate. With a few mouse clicks, I got a photography app that used to sell for $8.99 and is now free. It's easy to pay for this app with money saved with my App Store good deals.

Actually makes using the Mac App Store fun and useful instead of hit or miss. Great inexpensive tool to explore all the thousands of applications available from the App Store using various search criteria. Keep abreast of changing versions and prices of all apps of interest and compare similar apps to find the one best suited to your needs. Be warned however, this can be addictive and might encourage you to get all kinds of apps you just never knew were out there.

I have used Appalicious for several weeks and continue to appreciate the order out of chaos it provides over the App store by itself. It's actually fun to use Appalicious to search, sort, organize and keep track of apps I am interested in. Searching for recent apps, 5-star apps, or by category, etc. is instant and easy. I can customize the appearance (which column fields appear), sort by price, date, stars, etc. Very nice to open multiple windows of similar apps for comparisons. I have acquired dozens of new apps recently because where the App Store was tedious, Appalicious makes it fun!
