Spectre Screensaver is a free, ever-changing and spooky-looking Mac OS X screensaver with lots of customization options.

Version 1.7:
  • Made attempt to reduce flickering.
  • Fixed problems with the 'Blackhole' setting, nothing was showing up.
  • Tweaked the default scaling behavior, things look a lot better now!
  • Recompiled to work with Lion and older versions of the Mac OSX.
  • Changed the logic of the scale bar to be a multiplier, so 1 being smallest and 3 the largest.
  • Set the speed setting so that it affects the entire effect's speed. 1 is now the same as prev. speed
